Fringe Benefits

Posted 10th Sep 09 by in Stuff We Like

Friends, some wonderful news. Inua Ellams has won an Edinburgh Fringe First for his play The 14th Tale. Inua is a close friend of ours, a multitalented poet, performer and graphic artist. The 14th Tale was a London Word Festival commission, premiered at Arcola Theatre in March, so we’re absolutely delighted for him!

What’s more, poet/performer/savant Tim Key has been awarded the highly prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award. A fantastic accolade for one of the funniest wordsmiths – or is that, wordiest funnymen – in Britain, star of BBC Four’s Cowards and veteran of both years of the Festival. Congratulations, Tim.
