One of the 2009 festival’s stand-out shows, Shakespeare in Shoreditch was a night of new writing that reinterpreted Shakespearean themes and stories in a modern Shoreditch context. Joe Dunthorne, , Lee Rourke, and Salena Godden performed work they had written especially for the event, their stories were accompanied by live Manga illustration by artist Mustashrik.
