ONE thing. Done ONCE Each Day. For ONE Hundred Days.

This is the gloriously simple premise behind Josie Long’s hundred day mission to make everyone a little friendlier, stronger, fitter, wiser or just plain jollier. Since 1st December 2009, indefatigable, affirmative action-hero Josie has been leading a group of comedians, writers and musicians on a brand new scheme of creative betterment.

Alongside some hugely inventive pledges from over 800 members of the public (everything from  ‘a comic a day,’ ‘micro art history essays,’ ‘mythological creatures in haiku’, ‘kissing in front of a different London landmark,’ ‘leaving a hundred post it notes in public,’ ‘jogging art,’) Josie is talking to a stranger each day, and writing at least one new joke.

Fence Collective governor The Pictish Trail is penning a new song every day; comic Sara Pascoe has resurrected the art of letter writing; and musical stand-up and Peep Show star Isy Suttie is working on a special artwork to be auctioned on the 100th day.

Come and join the good-time congregation as these cinema-verité-Why-Don’t-You acolytes throw a party of new material, the finest anecdotal comedy, benevolent music and art, and masses more in a huge have-a-go frenzy.

The event plays host to the Museum of One Hundred Days, a second room turned over to exhibiting the wonderfully creative work public participants have cooked up, and a short film by birdwatching comedian Alex Horne documenting his efforts. Domino records’ thumb pianist par excellence and alt-folk star Adem will be performing with The Pictish Trail and DJing as a special guest.
